The main function of a sink is to enable you to clean yourself be it washing your hands or face or brushing your teeth. These days, however, a sink does not have to be normal. There are many creative ways to design your bathroom sink. How does your sink look like? Does it look ‘normal’?
If your sink is ‘normal’ you’d want to consider redesigning it. Why? Because a creative sink will make your bathroom interesting. This is especially true if the design complements the overall design of the bathroom. That said, some sink ideas may not be suitable for your bathroom. So, choose wisely.
1. Crystal Clear Sink
Sometimes less is more. In this case, a crystal clear sink is minimalistic but gives an artistic touch to the room. In the picture, you see a crystal clear sink that resembles a bowl. The ‘wavy’ sink is contrasted with the straight, defining lines of the sink itself, creating a balance between the two.
There are many types and sizes of crystal clear sinks. If you want to add one to your bathroom, be sure to choose a sink that complements the overall theme of the room. For instance, if your bathroom is designed in a minimalist theme, a sink with a rectangular shape and sharp lines will complement it.
2. Bicycle Bathroom Sink
Do you love bicycle? If you do, you will love this sink design. This design combines the old, antique bike with modern sink design. In this design, what was supposed to be the seat of the bicycle is replaced with the sink and its holder while the front part storage is used as a towel holder.
If you want to try this creative bathroom sink idea, be sure that the bike you are going to use still has a strong frame. Remember, the sink requires a stable and strong holder. How the faucet and the sink look like is of course up to you to decide.
3. Wall-mount Built-in Sink
For those who love minimalistic styles, this wall-mount built-in sink will be a great idea. Since the sink is wall-mounted, it does not take more space in the bathroom. Moreover, the sink looks simple and yet elegant at the same time.
If you want to build this kind of sink, you may need a remodeling of the existing bathroom. In the picture, both the wall and the sink are white. Yours doesn’t have to be white too but white is the main part of minimalistic designs. Same goes for the shape.
4. Small, Minimalist Sink
Not everyone has a large bathroom that can accommodate creative bathroom sink. Still, having a limited space does not mean you can’t be creative. The picture above shows that even a simple, minimalist sink can do wonder for a bathroom. You can see that the sink blends well with its surrounding, making it more
If you don’t want to do a major remodeling but wants a significant change, a simple, minimalist sink will do just that. It will work even better if your sink is wall-mounted and has a distinct shape and a different color from the faucet. The mild contrast between the faucet and the sink is what makes it attractive and artistic.
5. Bowl-like, Conclave Glass Sink
This design is similar to the first example. The difference is that this bowl-like concave glass sink is not crystal clear. Rather, it has a color that distinguishes it from its surrounding. This type of sink works well if you combine it with a wooden board and other wooden furniture.
A bowl-like, conclave glass sink is quite popular these days. However, it does not suit everyone. This type of sink is a good option if you have limited space available for your bathroom sink. It is also a good option if your bathroom is designed in a natural theme as well.
6. Standing Faucet with Tube Sink
Who says a faucet has to be wall-mounted and a sink has to be rectangular shaped? A faucet needs not to be wall-mounted. A sink does not have to have a rectangular shape, either. As you can see from the picture above, a standing, floor-mounted faucet with a tube sink looks great, too.
A standing faucet with tube sink looks extraordinary for sure. This is especially true if the surrounding area has a proper color. In the picture above, the floor is black while the walls are grey. These colors allow the faucet and the sink to standout, becoming the focal point in the room.
7. A Faucet with Box Sink and Wooden Table Underneath
Many homeowners often left the area under the sink unoccupied. This does not have to be the case with yours. You can make use of the space underneath the sink as additional storage, for example. In the picture, you can see that the sinks are supported by a wooden table that can be used as storage as well.
If you want to replicate this idea, be sure that the wooden table is strong enough to support the sink, especially if you are planning to have two faucets and two sinks like in the picture. Incorporating sharp and defining lines is a good idea as it adds a simple yet classy look.
8. Cabinet Sink
Need storage and sink in the same place? Why not combine both? Yes, there are lots of cabinet sinks available. The example above is a cabinet sink that looks more like a cabinet than a sink. By combining a cabinet and a sink, you have two functionalities while using the same space in the bathroom.

There are minimalistic, modern, and even luxurious cabinet sinks. So whatever your preferred style is, you will find it.
9. Stone bathroom sink
Not everyone is fond of minimalist, rustic or modern sinks. Some people are fond of natural-themed sinks instead. If you are one of these people, consider using a stone sink. There are many types of stone that can be used as a sink. For instance, ceramic, marble, and granite. Each has its own distinguishing looks and characteristics.
The picture above depicts a stone sink that looks like a bowl. The fact is, stone sinks come in various shapes and sizes. There are lots of stone sinks with regular shapes, like one in the picture, and there are lots of stone sinks with irregular shapes. Which shape is best? We can’t answer that since it is a matter of personal preference.
10. Simple, Clean, and Unique Sink
Bored with an ordinary sink? Try a modern sink. Many modern sinks come in simple, clean, and unique designs. Yes, like the one in the picture above. A sink usually has a round or rectangular shape. Well, it doesn’t have to be that way. You can go for a sink with a unique shape, too.
A sink like in the picture works really well if the bathroom is also designed in a modern theme. If you want to make the unique sink stands out even further, use contrasting colors for the wall and the sink. In the picture, the wall is black while the sink is white. This contrast makes the sink stands out, ensuring no one misses it.
11. Aquarium Sink
Do you like to collect fish in an aquarium? Why not use an aquarium sink? Watching your beloved fish while you wash your hand or brush your teeth will certainly be a different experience than when you do it in a normal way. Just take a look at the picture above. Amazing, isn’t it?
The problem with an aquarium sink is that it requires maintenance. We don’t mean cleaning the sink or making sure that it works properly. An aquarium sink will need that kind of maintenance too. What we meant is that you will need to take care of the fish as well.
12. Calla Lily Sink
Do you know Calla lily flower? That’s right, the flower that looks like a bulb. There are sinks that are designed in Calla lily shape. And as you can see from the picture, they look really great. If you are into unique sinks, Calla lily sinks may be right for you.
Calla lily sinks have a distinct shape, which allows them to blend in with various bathroom themes. If you have a natural-themed bathroom, Calla lily sinks will fit well. The same goes if your bathroom has modern or minimalist themes as well. So if a versatile sink is what you want, consider a Calla lily sink.
13. Map Sink
Last but certainly not least, a sink with map-like patterns. This one is really extraordinary. Rather than having a unique shape, the sink has a rectangular shape just like the usual sink. The difference is, however, it has lines as if it shows to which direction the water is flowing.
As awesome as it is, this kind of bathroom sink is not suitable for every bathroom, though. A bathroom with a traditional theme will not be compatible with this kind of sink, for instance. A bathroom in a modern or minimalist style, on the other hand, will be very compatible with this sink.
